In Lauren Watson’s 20 years of experience working in selective college admissions and college counseling, she has guided over 800 families through the college process. Lauren began her career in the Office of Undergraduate Admission at Boston College, then served as a college counselor at Bellarmine College Preparatory, as College Counseling Director at Stuart Hall High School, and as Associate Director of College Counseling at both The Harker School and Buckingham, Browne & Nichols School. Her approach is deeply rooted in her belief that the college admission process is in fact, a developmental one. It is both a critical transition to beginning adulthood for students and an exciting opportunity for students to learn essential life skills that will contribute to their launch as successful young adults. Lauren aims to coach parents through the process in a supportive manner that will further deepen their relationships with their teenagers, and protect them from the relational pitfalls that are so common. Her students have been admitted to the top liberal arts colleges and research universities in the world. She is equally proud of her students who have enrolled at institutions with which you might not yet be familiar. Lauren holds her bachelor’s degree in English from Boston College.
