Based in Scarborough, Maine, I counsel students throughout the country. I began working with students independently after 13 years in college counseling offices, first at Saint John’s School (San Juan, PR) and later at Moses Brown School (Providence, RI). Prior to that, I worked in Undergraduate Admissions at Connecticut College. My own college years were spent at American University followed by a MSEd. in Higher Education Management from the University of Pennsylvania. I continue to engage in various forms of professional development, including college essay workshops at Georgetown Day School (Washington, D.C.) and application reading for the Morehead-Cain Scholarship at UNC-Chapel Hill.

By providing supportive, honest counsel and by debunking myths about what the college application process is  “supposed" to feel like, Julia helps students and families see that the college application experience can be empowering and stress-free.
